The crafting system allows players to use a finite quantity of "minutes" to make weapons, armor, and even starships for use in the game. Minutes used for crafting will be earned by completing deeds for special non-player characters available throughout the game universe.

Yev's Crafting Guide

+minutes: Gives you your daily 100 minutes

+craft/list: Lists crafting categories -

Action Cards, Crafting Components, Schematics, Armor, Event Cards, Souvenirs, Clothing, Gadgets, Weapons, Containers, Nodes

+craft/list (category): Lists the craftable items in that category

+consider (item): Lists the details of the specified object, including how many minutes required to craft it, the craft level you'll need, the equipment, and the components.

For equipment: You may notice some items need a kit, a table, schematics or all three. NPC shopkeepers sell basic tier schematics and kits for credits. Crafting tables are available for public use in the Tradeport.

For components: Currently you can buy crafting components from an NPC shopkeeper in the Junk Maze on Comorro Station at Fair quality, though if you're looking to build something of better quality, you'll want to either get your Salvage level up by crafting things from junk piles, or type +craftexperts to seek out something that can salvage quality items for you.

Once you have all of your components and you're in the same room as a crafting table (if needed), just type +craft (item) to craft your item.

  • Items are divvied up into three tiers: Basic, Improved, Fine/Advanced.
  • More advanced items have a higher craftlevel prereq, so in order to improving your crafting skills you'll need to craft multiple low-tier items to level up.
  • Items have specific crafting skills that they skill up now. So, rather than a generic craftlevel letting you craft ANY category, you can improve your Gunsmithing craftlevel. This allows for specialization.
  • Crafted items will have Crafter tags - identifiers for the character who made them.

+craftexperts: Lists recently active characters who are skilled crafters and the level of their expertise.

+get (item): Picks up an item in the room.

+give (player name)=(item): Gives an item to a player.

+pay (number) credit to (player name): Pays a player credits.

+drop (item): Drops an item.

+equip (item): Equips an item.

+look: This command is used for looking at one's own items.

+plook (player) (object): This command lists the descriptions of another player's objects.

  • Players can customize names and descriptions of their items without using up crafting minutes. These items must be of at least Fair quality.

Salvaging[]

When you come across junkpiles you may salvage certain crafting components (depending on your Salvage level) by typing:

+craft <item>
